First up are new listings, which saw a significant jump in the April 2026 data. With 269 new listings in April 2026, the number of new listings was up 9.8 percent compared to April 2025, when there were 245 new listings. New listings were also up in the year-to-date data, increasing by 2.4 percent from 717 new listings through April 2025 to 734 new listings through April 2026.
While new listings have been up, the average number of days that homes spent on the market before sale has decreased in 2026. Homes spent an average of 31 days on the market before sale in April 2026, a decrease of 8.8 percent compared to April 2025, when homes spent an average of 34 days on the market before sale.
Year-to-date, homes spent an average of 40 days on the market before sale through April 2026, down 7.0 percent from last year when homes spent an average of 43 days on the market before sale through April 2025.
The median sales price also rose in April, increasing by 6.2 percent from $413,500 in April 2025 to $438,950 in April 2026. Year-to-date, the median sales price is up 2.1 percent, from $406,470 through April 2025 to $415,000 through April 2026.
The percent of list price received was up 0.4 percent for the month, from 100.2 percent in April 2025 to 100.6 percent in April 2026. Year-to-date, the percent of list price received is up 0.2 percent, from 99.8 percent through April 2025 to 100.0 percent through April 2026.
The number of units sold in Livingston County was down 7.1 percent, from 154 closed sales in April 2025 to 143 closed sales in April 2026. Year-to-date, the number of units sold is down 13.6 percent, from 538 closed sales through April 2025 to 465 closed sales through April 2026.
The inventory of homes for sale in Livingston County was up 12.2 percent this month, from 279 units in April 2025 to 313 units in April 2026. Months of supply were up 11.8 percent, from 1.7 months in April 2025 to 1.9 months in April 2026.
