1. Pinckney Memorial Day 5K & Parade – Corner of Pear St. & Hamburg St., Pinckney, MI 48169
   The Village of Pinckney hosts community events throughout the year and one of their most popular is their Memorial Day parade and 5K. Their 5K run takes participants passed beautiful Pinckney homes for sale while the parade is held conveniently on Main Street. Pump up your tires and strap on your helmet — May is National Bike Month! Cyclists throughout Michigan will celebrate National Bike to Work Week during May 13-19 and National Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 17!  Here are six great biking trails in Livingston county you should check out!

1. Brighton Mountain Bike Trailhead – Brighton Recreation Area near the Bishop Lake Complex, 7050 Bishop Lake Rd., Brighton, MI 48116
   Distance: 15-17 Miles
   Route: Two trails – Murray Lake Trail and Torn Shirt Trail
   
   The Brighton Recreation Area is just across the street from many Hamburg Township homes for sale and offers a scenic ride for nature lovers. The park has two riding trails: The Murray Lake Trail is 7-9 miles long and is a moderate trail to tackle. The Torn Shirt Trail is just over 8 miles long and will challenge bikers with rugged descents and sharp climbs.
