June marks the official start of summer, and the local social calendar ramps up with some exciting activities. Our real estate agents are looking forward to these wonderful festivals and events around Livingston County.
Once again, families eagerly anticipate the 41st Annual Michigan Challenge Balloonfest, one of the top summer events near Howell homes for sale. Despite the name, hot-air balloons are only one of the attractions during this three-day festival.
Here are just a few of the features and activities:
Mark your calendar for Friday, 6/26, through Sunday, 6/28. Admission is $5 per day.
It takes the longest day of the year to accommodate all the festivities at Brighton's Country Boots and Beats. Head over to The AMP at Mill Pond for some rollicking live music and line dancing lessons, or take in the food trucks, vendors, and kids' area along Main Street.
Acts appearing at The AMP, right down the street from Brighton homes for sale, include:
Country Boots and Beats takes place from noon - 10 p.m. on Saturday, 6/20. Admission is free.
Break out your spandex, parachute pants, and big hair! Time to groove to some classic tunes during Totally 80s Summerfest at the Stadium. For the fourth consecutive year, this popular fest promises a rad evening of "Eats, Beats, and Brews."
Get jiggy with it on Friday, 6//12 from 6 - 10 p.m. Tickets are $60 for general admission and $30 for designated drivers.
Spend a day on the links while supporting a worthy cause at the VINA Charity Golf Classic, just minutes from Pinckney homes for sale. The event benefits VINA, a local nonprofit dental clinic serving low-income and uninsured adults.
Here's what participants can look forward to with their registration fee:
Plan for a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Friday, 6/26. Tickets are $170 per person, $340 per twosome, and $680 per foursome. Dinner-only tickets are $50.
This year's "Garden Party" theme certainly fits the elegantly traditional ambiance of the Hartland Polo Classic, not far from Hartland Township homes for sale. Men are asked to wear summer suits, while women are encouraged to wear colorful statement hats, a la the Kentucky Derby, with a contest for the most interesting one.
What else can you expect at the Hartland Polo Classic?
Tickets for Saturday, 6/6, are $75. Admission on Sunday, 6/7, is free for all guests.
