There were 234 new residential listings in Livingston County during September 2025, compared to 258 new residential listings in September 2024. That's a decrease in new listings of 9.3 percent, compared to one year ago. Year-to-date, there were 2,110 new residential listings through September 2025, compared to 2,114 new listings through September 2024. That marks a 0.2 percent increase in new listings for the year-to-date data.
The average number of days properties spent on the market before sale was up slightly this September, from 32 days in September 2024 to 33 days in September 2025. That's an increase of 3.0 percent in average days on market before sale. Year-to-date, homes spent an average of 34 days on the market through September 2024 compared to 33 days on the market through September 2025, a decrease of 2.9 percent in days on market before sale compared to last year.
The median sales price for residential listings in Livingston County was up 7.9 percent, from $380,000 in September 2024 to $410,000 in September 2025. Year-to-date, the median sales price was up 4.8 percent, from $400,000 through September 2024 to $419,000 through September 2025.
Percent of list price received was down 0.4 percent, from 99.7 percent in September 2024 to 99.3 percent in September 2025. Year-to-date, the percent of list price received was down 0.2 percent, from 100.3 percent through September 2024 to 100.1 percent from September 2025.
The number of closed sales was up 2.2 percent in September, from 183 units sold in September 2024 to 187 units sold in September 2025. Units sold are also up year-to-date, increasing by 3.9 percent from 1,474 units sold through September 2024 to 1,532 units sold through September 2025.
Inventory and months of supply were both down slightly in September 2025. Inventory decreased 1.5 percent, from 405 units in September 2024 to 399 units in September 2025. Months of supply decreased by 4.0 percent, from 2.5 months in September 2024 to 2.4 months in September 2025.
