fourth of july

Our real estate agents are excited for Independence Day. The Fourth of July is one of the most beloved and well-attended summer holidays in Livingston County. No matter where you are, nearly every town and city has its own special celebration for all ages. And even if there isn't one right in your backyard, you're only a quick drive from fireworks fun!

Let's drop in on some of the best Fourth of July happenings in Livingston County:

  • Fowlerville Fireworks – 425 North Grand Street, Fowlerville, MI 48836
Located in Fowlerville Community Park, Fowlerville Fireworks is one of the biggest Fourth of July events in the area. As soon as the sun sets, this highlight of the annual Independence Day festivities begins. There's plenty of room in Fowlerville Community Park, but be sure to bring along your own lawn chair or blanket.

  • Whitmore Lake Fourth of July Parade – See Website for Location Information in Whitmore Lake, MI
Whitmore Lake Fourth of July Parade is a beloved annual tradition in the town of Whitmore Lake. Families get up bright and early for this parade, which begins at 10:00 a.m. July 3, and it works its way down Main Street. It's a good idea to come early so you can get a prime viewing location for the bands, classic cars, balloons, and more.

  • Brighton Fourth of July Parade – See Website for Location Information in Brighton, MI
The only drawback to Fourth of July parades is the fact that you'll have to choose just one to see! Brighton Fourth of July Parade is the twin of the Whitmore Lake Fourth of July Parade and works the same way. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. and will proceed down Main Street. Races and other events for children start at 8:30.

  • 34th Annual Cohoctah Township Fourth of July Parade – See Website for Location Information in Cohoctah Township, MI
34th Annual Cohoctah Township Fourth of July Parade will thrill locals and visitors alike, young and old, with a bevy of fun surprises. It starts out with a Shania Twain tribute artist plus all sorts of carnival attractions: balloon twisting, face painting, a photo booth, and the rest, all leading up to the parade itself.

  • Michigan Challenge Balloonfest Fireworks – 1200 West Grand River Avenue, Howell, MI 48843
Howell is one of the local communities that doesn't have its own Fourth of July festivities, but don't worry! That doesn't mean there's nothing to do. In fact, you can get an early start on Independence Day fun on June 28 starting at 6 p.m., when Howell High School will host Michigan Challenge Balloonfest Fireworks.

  • The Ceramic Studio Etc. Storytime at the Studio: Fireworks – 4132 Easy Grand River Avenue, Howell, MI 48843
This local business is known for helping kids and adults express themselves through art. Not only that, but there are events throughout the year to nurture children's minds and creativity. The Ceramic Studio Etc. Storytime at the Studio: Fireworks allows kids aged two and up to celebrate by creating art around fireworks themes.
