Livingston County
Livingston County proudly boasts a grade of A- from Niche, one of the premier online community ranking sites. This is no surprise to our real estate agents, who share five of the best attractions of life in Livingston County.

  1. Mt. Brighton - 4141 Bauer Rd., Brighton, MI 48116
In the mood for skiing but there's no time to get away? Mt. Brighton is close enough to accommodate spur-of-the-moment afternoons, evenings, or weekends on the slopes. With 25 trails across 130 acres, Mt. Brighton is basic enough for beginners and challenging enough for experts. Kids aged 3-14 can safely learn the sport and develop their skills at the Ski & Ride School. Onsite dining includes quick-service and full-service options. Visit the website for information about the 2024-2025 season.

  2. Pinckney Recreation Area - 8555 Silver Hill Rd., Pinckney, MI 48169
Whether you want a day of family fun or an extended staycation, Pinckney Recreation Area has it all. The 11,000-acre dog-friendly property, formed during the last glacial period, contains more than 40 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing. Keep an eye out for white-tailed deer, great blue herons, and other wildlife. Several lakes provide multiple opportunities for swimming, boating, paddling, and fishing. Overnight facilities include cabins, RV and rustic campgrounds, and yurts. Hours are 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily and a Michigan Recreation Pass is required for entry.

  3. The AMP at Mill Pond - 202 W. Main, Brighton, MI 48116
The sweet sounds of outdoor music are frequently heard around the AMP at Mill Pond, one of the more beloved venues in Livingston County. Under the umbrella of their company 2 Stones Events, husband-and-wife team Cal Stone and Whitney McClellan-Stone stage "Turn Up the AMP!" The concert series, held from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month from June through September, turns a spotlight on top local musicians. Put on your dancing shoes every Monday until Labor Day for "Swing at the AMP!" Starting at 7 p.m., a swing dance lesson is followed by a social dance until 10 p.m. Admission is $5.

  4. Howell's MainStreet Winery - 201 W. Grand River Ave., Howell, MI 48843
Howell's MainStreet Winery is a perfect spot for a romantic date night or an after-work get-together. The family-owned boutique winery, opened in 2006, produces signature wines such as MainStreet Rosay and Beethoven's Finest Gewurtztraminer. Pair your choice of wine with one of their gourmet thin-crust pizzas baked in a stone oven. Cheese plates and salads are available for lighter appetites. Hours are noon - 6 p.m. Wednesday, noon - 7 p.m. Thursday, noon - 8 p.m. Friday, and noon - 7 p.m. Saturday.

  5. X-Golf - 9760 Village Place Blvd., Brighton, MI 48116
Did bad weather wash out your tee time? That's never a problem at X-Golf, a state-of-the-art facility featuring virtual golfing. X-Golf's high-tech simulators use cameras, lasers, impact sensors, and advanced gaming software to create an incredibly realistic experience. Each sim accommodates up to six people, so you can go solo or in a group. PGA-certified instructors are on hand and you can bring your own clubs or rent a set. Fuel up at the onsite restaurant that includes a full bar. Reservations, either online or by phone, are highly recommended. Visit the website for a full list of hours and prices.
