Summer events

Livingston County is known for many things, including natural beauty, a strong local economy, and a busy social calendar. Our real estate agents want to help you make the most of it this June with some of the best events to ring in the summer:

  • Main Street Mile – 409 West Main Street, Brighton, MI 48116
    Main Street Mile
    is coming back to Brighton on June 8 with admission for just $25 per person. There will be no less than six different events to take part in, including favorites like the Competitive Mile, High School Boys Mile, High School Girls Mile, Recreational Mile, a mile for dogs and their human companions, and the Kids Mile. The Competitive Mile begins at 9:00 a.m., with other events starting every twenty minutes.

  • Art in the Garden – 219 North Walnut Street, Howell, MI 48843
    Art in the Garden
    is sponsored by Howell Main Street and will be happening on June 8. With a full day of the best local arts, crafts, and more, kids are sure to love it. There will be family-friendly amenities such as balloon art, sidewalk chalk, and community art projects that you can participate in. The event is taking place right in the heart of Downtown Howell, so you'll easily be able to grab a meal or go shopping right afterward.

  • Pure Barre at the Mill Pond – See Website for Location Information in Brighton, MI 48116
    Pure Barre at the Mill Pond
    will challenge you to tone and burn with barre, a form of exercise that focuses on bodyweight lifting using the barre. A barre is a type of training tool most commonly used in ballet, giving the participants opportunities to balance and stretch. The event is one day only, on June 9, starting at 10 a.m. – admission is $35 per person. Qualified instructors will be on hand, and no prior experience is necessary.

  • Hartland Polo Party – 12439 Highland Road, Hartland, MI 48353
    Hartland Polo Party
    follows the Hartland Polo Classic, which will be taking place on June 9 at 10 a.m. – once the game is over, you can join the Hartland Polo Party to continue the fun. While you can participate in the game, a bevy of activities will be available for those who just want to watch. These will include live music, food from the delicious Hartland food trucks, kid activities, and many other ways to make lasting memories. Admission is $10.

  • Hamburg Family Fun Fest – See Website for Location Information in Hamburg Township, MI
    Hamburg Family Fun Fest
    is one of the biggest events of the year and has been eagerly anticipated for 18 years now. It has a little bit of everything that will bring your whole family together. There will be carnival-style rides running the gamut from carousels to full rollercoasters, plus games and prizes galore, face painting, and – of course – fair-style food provided by a veritable parade of some of the best food trucks in Livingston County.

  • Father's Day in Nature – Along Triangle Lake Road, Howell, MI 48843
    Father's Day in Nature
    is the perfect way to celebrate dad or grandpa at one of the most beautiful places out in Livingston County. Happening on June 16, Father's Day, starting at 10 a.m., everything will be centered on the beautiful Howell Nature Center. You can hike the half-mile trail through Wild Wonders Wildlife Park, then go on to Alexandria's NatureScape and Tree House, with its 7,000 square feet of fun for kids of all ages.
