Start summer with the traditional remembrance of the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Our real estate agents share some of the Memorial Day events and activities in Livingston County that they're eagerly anticipating.

  • Memorial Day Weekend - Taylor's Beach Campground, 6197 N. Burkhart Rd., Howell, MI 48855
One day just isn't enough to contain all the fun planned for Memorial Day Weekend at Taylor Beach Campground. The basketball court will be transformed into a dance floor so you can bust a move to DJ-spun tunes. There will also be a variety of lively beach games along with old-school hayrides. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 24 and runs through Monday, May 27.

  • Hartland Memorial Day Run - Hartland High School, 10635 Dunham Rd., Hartland, MI 48353
Good health never takes a day off, even for a holiday. Start the day by getting your blood pumping at the Hartland Memorial Day Run. Once again, Hartland High School is the site of the annual 5K run and 3K fun walk. Awards will be given to top male and female runners in designated age groups from 9 and under to 70+. All proceeds benefit the Hartland High School Athletic Programs. Race time is 8 a.m. on Monday, May 27. Registration fees are $30 for the run and $20 for the walk.

  • Hartland Memorial Day Parade - Cromaine Library, 3688 N. Hartland Rd., Hartland, MI 48353
2024 marks the 89th year of the Hartland Memorial Day Parade. The community honors the memory of all fallen military members with a parade featuring Armed Service veterans as well as colorful, locally-made floats. Fuel up beforehand at the Hartland Band Boosters Pancake Breakfast, taking place from 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Village Elementary on 10632 Hibner Rd. The parade kicks off at noon on Monday, May 27.

  • Swing at the AMP - Amphitheater on Mill Pond, 202 W. Main, Brighton, MI 48116

  • Memorial Day Parade - 500 W. Main, Pinckney, MI 48169
Pinckney's annual Memorial Day Parade is just the appetizer for a buffet of family fun. In addition to memorial tributes and honor ceremonies for military men and women who gave their lives, this year's parade includes a special salute to veterans and active-duty personnel. Following the parade, a memorial service and wreath-laying ceremony will be held at Pinckney Cemetery. Afterward, it's time for food and beverage vendors, kids' games and activities, and live music and entertainers. Festivities open with the parade at 10 a.m. and there is no charge for admission.
