Livingston County Events

We may be hitting the dog days of summer, but it's no time to curl up for a nap. Our real estate agents plan to keep the good times rolling at these lively events around Livingston County.

  • Polo, Picnic, & Ponies - Detroit Polo Club, 500 Chukker Cove, Howell, MI 48843
Did you know there's a premier polo facility right down the street? After an evening of Polo, Picnic, & Ponies, you may find yourself with a new favorite sport. The event is being held tailgate-style, with prizes awarded for the best displays. Hickory BBQ & Grill will have food for sale along with tips for tailgate cooking. Polo, Picnic, & Ponies takes place on Saturday, August 7, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Admission is $40 per car.

  • Howell Melon Festival - Downtown Howell
You don't have to enjoy fruit to have fun at the variety of activities that make up the Howell Melon Festival. The Doc May Bike Ride, Melon Ball dances, and Melon Roll are great family-friendly events, while evening entertainment includes dinner theater and trivia night. Other highlights of the festival are live music, games, craft sales, and the Howell Farmer's Market. Friends of the Library will be conducting a book sale during library hours. Howell Melon Festival runs from Monday, August 9 through Sunday, August 15. Visit the website for the full schedule.

  • Country Western Music Weekend - Taylor's Beach Campground, 6197 N. Burkhart Rd., Howell, MI 48855
Break out your ten-gallon hat and cowboy boots for a rockin' Country Western Music Weekend at Taylor's Beach Campground. There will be horse and pony rides and a petting farm to go along with plenty of live music. Awards will be given to the best country outfits worn by adults, kids, and dogs. The boot-stompin' fun is scheduled for Saturday, August 21. There is a $39 entertainment fee in addition to standard camping rates.

  • Turn Up the AMP! - Mill Pond Amphitheater, 206 W. Main St., Brighton, MI 48116
Whether you're a classic rock fan or you just love good music, you won't want to miss Turn Up the Amp! at the Mill Pond Amphitheater, just minutes from Brighton homes for sale. Revival, a local tribute band, composed of A-list musicians, will perform songs from the iconic Allman Brothers Band. Showtime is 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7. While admission is free, donations of money or non-perishable food to support the Livingston County Hunger Council are gratefully welcomed.

  • Food Truck Fridays - S. Howell St., Pinckney, MI 48169
Food trucks have become so popular that they have their own competition show on Food Network. This popular dining trend comes to the community around Pinckney homes for sale with Food Truck Fridays. Be first in line at the inaugural event featuring six great food trucks, including Poppos BBQ, Royale Hot Dog Company, and Kona-Ice. Mark your calendar for August 20 from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.
