Livingston County Libraries

Read Across America Day, held on March 2nd, is the perfect excuse to pick a book up at your local library in Livingston County! Grab your reading glasses and your library card and learn about a few of the wonderful libraries in our area below. 

  1. Brighton Library - 100 Library Dr, Brighton, MI 48116
    Brighton Library is one of the best in town. With their recent renovations, it's also one of the best looking in the region. The library features plenty of activities for children and teenagers, which means you can turn them loose while you sit back and read through the listings for Brighton homes for sale.
  2. Howell Library - 314 W Grand River Ave, Howell, MI 48843
    Located smack dab in the middle of Howell, the Howell Carnegie District Library is one of the oldest in the region. Built with funds donated by Andrew Carnegie, the library is one of the jewels of the state Historic Preservation Office. Alongside all the fabulous books they offer, you will find the Howell Area Archives so that you can research the history of some of the historic Howell homes for sale that you have your eyes on. 
  3. Hamburg Library - 10411 Merrill Rd, Hamburg, MI 48139
    If you want it, there's an excellent chance the Hamburg Library has it on their shelves. If not, they can easily find it for you and have it delivered from any of the libraries in the area. You'll love the selection, and your kids will fall in love with Storyhour, the Kids Craft Fair, the Art Fair, and the many other events they host throughout the year. The library also offers the "Homebound Connection" for elderly residents and others who can't make it into the library themselves. When you head into the library, you may even see some of the Hamburg homes for sale located just down the road. 
  4. Northfield Township Area Library - 125 Barker Rd, Whitmore Lake, MI 48189
    The North Township Area Library features over 21,000 books, 1,800 DVDs/CDs, and 1600 audiobooks. They quite literally have something for everyone to discover. You will find plenty of librarians eager to help you find the perfect book for you to enjoy. The library hosts numerous reading clubs and special events, you can check out after looking at Whitmore Lake homes for sale.
  5. Salem South Lyon District Library - 9800 Pontiac Trail, South Lyon, MI 48178
    Rated as one of the best libraries in America, the Salem South Lyon District Library has it all. The staff is committed to excellence, and the selection at the library is guaranteed to please. The library holds a vast range of novels, educational books, DIY books, DVDs/CDs, audiobooks, and practically any book you want to get your hands on. When you drive in, be sure to drive past the South Lyon homes for sale in the neighborhood.
