Brighton Area Summertime Fun

Our REALTORS® are looking ahead to another "bright," beautiful summer here in Brighton. Summer is an active time for Brighton homes for sale, and it's also the season for big family fun! It's not hard to see why more and more families are attracted to the charm and lush natural treasures of Brighton.

It's close enough to savor the amenities of metro Detroit, yet you'll feel like you're in a world apart.

There's plenty of things to do in and around Brighton, no matter if you're a years-long local or visiting here for the first time. July is an especially exciting month. Phenomenal 4th of July celebrations combine with stellar attractions for families. There's something new around every corner.

Let's look at seven ways to enjoy Brighton this summer:

  1. Brighton Bowl – 9871 Grand River Avenue, Brighton, MI 48116
It's all-ages action at Brighton Bowl, a local favorite for family bowling. Starting in mid-June and running through the summer, children 15 and younger can hit the lanes with two games, shoes, a hot dog, and fries for a discounted fee of just $6. Brighton Bowl also hosts kids' birthdays!
  2. Brighton Imagination Station – 448 Mill Pond Lane, Brighton, MI 48116
Get the kids out to laugh and play at one of the best area playgrounds: Brighton Imagination Station. Right in the midst of downtown, you'll discover a 10,000-square foot playground full of fascinating play structures. Live concerts take place every Sunday evening throughout the summer.
  3. Hungry Duck Half Marathon and 5K –  204 W. East Grand River Ave, Brighton, MI 48116
The Hungry Duck Half Marathon and 5K is an annual tradition that challenges racers of all skill levels to run or walk a half marathon or full 5K. The course is mostly paved and flat, and there is a fun run for kids to participate in. The event starts at 6:30 a.m. on July 4th.
  4. Fenton Freedom Festival Parade – 104 South Adelaide Street, Fenton, MI 48430
Out in the neighborhood of Fenton homes for sale is the annual Freedom Festival Parade. It launches at 10:00 a.m. on July 4th, rain or shine. Floats, singers, and walking units will bring patriotic pride to the heart of Fenton, sponsored by local businesses.
  5. Zap Zone –  6995 Grand River Avenue, Brighton, MI 48114
Zap Zone is a true treat when you want adventurous family entertainment. Kids love the chance to get busy with laser tag, bumper cars, or the arcade. Younger kids can partake of the hands-on play zone – and, of course, almost everyone loves roller skating. It's all under one roof at the Zap Zone.
  6. Puzzled Escape – 8143 Grand River Avenue, Suite 1, Brighton, MI 48114
Puzzled Escape is an example of a hot trend in family outings, the escape room. Brighton's take on the experience provides an array of three rooms with an apocalypse or mad scientist theme. Participants must gather the clues and solve the puzzles to escape in time.
  7. Lakelands Trail State Park – 499 Pearl Street, Pinckney, MI 48169
Pinckney homes for sale aren't far from some of the region's most serene natural landscapes. Lakelands Trail State Park is just one example. This 22-mile trail will give you a view of rolling farmland, wooded areas, and picturesque towns. Biking, hiking, and riding are encouraged.

The relaxation of a Brighton summer can be yours every year when you move to this inviting area. Griffith Realty makes it easier thanks to our deep expertise in Michigan real estate.
