The Fantasy of Lights Parade – Friday, November 23, 2018, at 7:00 pm
The Fantasy of Lights Parade has long unofficially marked the start of the holiday season in Howell, and this year's parade is set to be bigger and better than ever before. This night-time parade is a unique opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of the holidays, with spectacular floats, dazzling light displays, and your favorite Christmas music. It's not just locals who know how much fun it is to spend time downtown in Howell. Recipient of the Great American Main Street Award, Howell Main Street Inc. has been selected for the honor of serving as Grand Marshall for this year's Fantasy of Lights Parade. The parade starts at 7 p.m., and based on long tradition takes place on the Friday immediately following Thanksgiving. It's the perfect opportunity to kick off the holiday season, spend time with your favorite people, and be amazed by the intricate, creative light displays brought to life by members of the local community. -
Howell Fantasy 5K Race – Friday, November 23, 2018, at 6:00 pm
Head out early on parade day to see the parade route in a different light, by participating in the Howell Fantasy 5K Race on the evening of the Fantasy of Lights Parade. The 5K run traces the same route as the parade, with spectators cheering you on as you run the race. Don your favorite holiday apparel and enjoy a healthy start to the holidays – perfect for the day after a big, delicious Thanksgiving meal. -
Christmas Shopping at the Fantasy of Art Show and Sale – Friday, November 23, 2018, through Sunday, November 25, 2018

The Fantasy of Art Show, held by the Livingston Fine Arts Association at the Howell Opera House, is an opportunity to pick up unique, artistic gifts for the holidays.
