Kensington Art Fair May 26, 27 & 28
If you're an artist or an avid collector, Michigan is a great place to pursue your passion. With fabulous fairs and festivals throughout the year, it's an art lover's paradise. If you plan to tour Milford Township homes for sale, you'll have an opportunity to check out Michigan's newest art presentation, the Kensington Art Fair. You can join residents and visitors in celebrating the second year of this wonderful juried art event.

2nd Annual Kensington Art Fair, May 26-28, 2018
The Kensington Art Fair is a relatively new entry on the Michigan art events calendar, but the event is destined to become a state tradition. The juried show takes place during the three-day Memorial Day Weekend. It's located in beautiful Kensington Metropark, one of the most popular outdoor venues in Southeast Michigan.
The 95 artists and artisans selected to participate in the event will travel from cities across the country to set up display booths at the edge of Kent Lake. You'll have three days to visit the participants, discuss their work, and purchase paintings, fiber art, jewelry, sculpture, and other creative works. With so much beauty and creativity, the art fair is the main attraction. But the event also features food and entertainment.
Food
When you're feeling hungry, you won't have to leave the Art Fair for a food break. Smoke 'N Pig BBQ, The Jackson Five Star Bistro, Bearclaw Coffee, and other Gourmet food trucks will offer a selection of entrees, snacks, and beverages on the premises.
Entertainment
If you need a break from walking the art show, you can stroll along the lake or relax and enjoy beautiful Kensington Park scenery. You'll also find these planned events and demos.
- Detroit Institute of Arts will present hands-on art projects.
- Northville Rowing Club will sponsor "dryland" rowing.
- Live music artists names will be announced.
Dates & Times
The Kensington Art Fair takes place on Memorial Day Weekend. Admission to the fair is free, but you'll need a Metroparks permit to enter.
The scheduled dates and times:
- Saturday and Sunday, May 26th & 27th: 10 AM to 6 PM
- Monday, May 28th: 10 AM to 4 PM
